Fruitcake Cookies

Recipe Introduction
These can be made with store bought candied fruit but since it's easy and tastes amazing with homemade candied fruit I wouldn't advise it.
List of Ingredients
- 1 C. raisins, golden are prettier
- 1 C. candied cherries
- 1 C. candied pineapples
- 1 C. nuts, chopped, pecans or mixed
- 1/2 C. dates, chopped
- 1/2 C. all-purp. flour
- 1/2 C. golden Crisco
- 3/4 C. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 3/4 C. all-purp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Instructions
- Fruit, nuts and dates into a bowl with 1/2 cup flour. Mix to coat and set aside.
- Cream together Crisco and sugar. Add egg and extracts and mix till smooth.
- Combine, 3/4 cup flour, baking soda and salt.
- Stir fruit and flour mixture into creamed mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes. Cool on racks.
- Once cooled you can make a drizzle and drizzle them but it's not really needed.
