    Nana's Chocolate Chip Cookies

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 C. unsalted butter
    • 1 1/2 C. light brown sugar, packed
    • 1 jumbo egg
    • 3 tsp. pure vanilla
    • 2 C. unbleached flour
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 2 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
    • 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips
    • 1 C. pecans, chopped
    • 1 C. powdered sugar


    Instructions


    1. Cream butter, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, ginger, salt and cinnamon. Add to the butter mixture. Stir in chips and nuts. Put dough into refrigerator to chill.
    2. Make dough into small balls, no larger that an inch round, about a scant teaspoon. Dredge in powdered sugar and place on lightly greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 10 minutes, no longer. Let rest on cookie sheet 5 minutes before moving to a wire rack to finish cooling. Store in an airtight container.
