    List of Ingredients




    1/4 cup flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    1 1/2 pounds round steak, cut 1-1/2" thick
    2 tablespoons cooking oil
    2 onions, sliced
    1 pound can tomatoes, cut up
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
    Water
    1/4 cup flour
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/8 teaspoon pepper
    1/2 cup water

    Recipe



    Combine 1/4 cup flour, salt and pepper together. Spread half of mixture over one side of the steak. Pound in with side of a heavy saucer or mallet. Repeat with the other side of steak.

    Brown steak on both sides in hot oil in skillet. Add onions, tomatoes, garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer 1-1/2 to 2 hours, or until meat is tender. Place meat on warm platter and top with onions and tomatoes.

    Add enough water to pan juices to make 1-1/2 cups. Return juices to skillet.

    Combine the 1/4 cup flour, salt , pepper and 1/2 cup water in a jar; cover and shake til well blended. Add to meat juices. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, until mixture is thickened.

    Serve with mashed potatoes, and a vegetable.

    Serves 6
