    Ham and Provolone with Giardiniera

    List of Ingredients


    • One 8-inch sub roll, split horizontally
    • 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
    • 1 teaspoon giardiniera relish
    • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
    • 8 thin slices deli ham, folded to fit the bread
    • 2 slices provolone cheese, folded to fit the bread
    • ½ leaf romaine lettuce
    • 1 piece jarred roasted red pepper, cut into 4 strips


    Instructions


    1. Open the sub roll and drizzle the inside surfaces with the olive oil. Smear the giardiniera relish on one side and sprinkle the oregano on both sides. Layer the ham, cheese, and lettuce over the relish and top with the pepper strips. Close the roll and cut in half crosswise on the diagonal.

      Serve immediately.


      Makes 1 sandwich
