Kate's Teriyaki Chicken Wings

List of Ingredients
â—¦ 16 chicken wings
â—¦ ¼ cup sesame seeds
Marinade:
â—¦ ½ cup sake, mirin, or dry white wine
â—¦ ½ cup soy sauce
â—¦ 2 tablespoons brown sugar
â—¦ 1½-inch piece of fresh ginger root, peeled and chopped
â—¦ 1 clove garlic, crushed
Recipe
Rinse the chicken wings in cold water and pat dry. Place them in a shallow glass dish.
To make the marinade, combine all the ingredients in a medium-sized bowl and pour over the chicken. Let the chicken marinate overnight.
Preheat oven to 350° F. Place the chicken in a roasting pan and brush with the marinade. Sprinkle the wings with the sesame seeds and bake for 30 minutes, or until they are browned and cooked through. Let sit for 15 minutes, and then place the chicken on a serving plate and cool in the refrigerator. When cold, cover the chicken with plastic wrap and transport to the picnic.
