Recipe Introduction

"On almost every meat and three menu, buttered carrots appear. They are simple and good for you, and add color to your plate, which is so important at the Southern table."

List of Ingredients

â—¦ 4 cups baby carrots
â—¦ 1 teaspoon salt
â—¦ ½ teaspoon sugar
â—¦ 2 tablespoons butter
â—¦ 3 ½ cups water


Recipe

Add all the ingredients to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce the heat, and simmer until the carrots are tender, 20 to 25 minutes.

Makes 4 servings
