List of Ingredients
8 ounces thin spaghetti
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 large onion (for about 1 cup chopped)
1 jar (28 ounces) red pasta sauce of choice
1 teaspoon bottled minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, optional
2 cans (6-1/2 ounces each) chopped or minced clams
Recipe
Cook pasta according to the package directions. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a 12-inch skillet or 2-quart saucepan over medium heat. Peel and coarsely chop the onion, adding it to the oil as you chop. Cook, stirring frequently, until the onion is tender, about 2 minutes. Add the spaghetti sauce, garlic, Italian seasoning and Worcestershire.
Drain 1 can of clams and add them to the pan. (Reserve the juice for another use, if desired.) Add the other can of clams, with their juice, to the pan. Stir well. Bring to a slow boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer until the pasta is done. When spaghetti is tender, drain it and place some on each plate. Top with the sauce and serve.
