    8 oz ground beef (20% fat)
    1/2 c water
    2 TBS flour
    1 TBS cornmeal
    1 1/2 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp ketchup
    1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp garlic powder
    1/4 tsp onion powder
    1/8 tsp Accent seasoning
    12 corn tortillas
    4 to 12 c veg oil
    1 large egg, beaten
    6 slices American Cheese, cut diagonally into 12 halves
    1/2 c Ortega med. original taco sauce
    2 c thinly sliced iceberg lettuce

    Combine the ground beef, water, flour,cornmeal,chili powder,ketchup,worcestershire sauce,salt,garlic powder,onion powder, and accent in a bowl and mix well with your hands to combine all of the spices into beef. put the beef into a food processor and puree for about 1 min.

    Dump the pureed beef mixture in a saute pan and heat over med. heat while stirring until the meat is thoroughly cooked, 5 to 10 minutes.

    Soften tortlillas in microwave. spread a heaping tbs of the beef onto one side. Brush a little egg mix on the edge of the other side to help hold it together durung frying. Fold the tortilla over the beef, them move the taco to a rimmed baking sheet lines with wax paper. (Press the tacos together or use small clips to hold together until frozen.) Place the tacos in freezer for 2 to 3 hrs or until completely frozen.

    Preheat the oil in a deep fryer to 350 degrees. Fry 2 tacos at a time or until they just start to turn brown. drain on paper towels for 20 to 30 seconds. Carefully open each taco just wide enough to place a triangle of cheese ans 2 tsp of taco sauce and finish by pushing in some lettuce.
