    Recipe Introduction

I typically make a recipe and a half so that we have leftovers the next day.

    List of Ingredients

    2 cups self rising flour
    1/2 cup butter
    2/3 cup buttermilk

    Recipe

Preheat an oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).

Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

Cut* butter into flour until the size of small peas.
Pour in the buttermilk and stir just until combined.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls** on prepared baking sheet. Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.

*I have started grating my cold cutter into my flour. So much easier and mixes in very well.

**I pat my dough out. Sprinkle some flour on your surface and then place dough on top. Add flour to top and to your hands. Pat or roll dough into circle about 1/2 to an 1 inch thick. You may need to add a bit more flour to your dough when your are mixing it to make it easier to roll, but you don't want to mix in too much.
