Creative 'Kitchen Klowns' Build Their Own Free Recipe
Websites
SANTA CLARITA, CA - April 17, 2000 (INB) -- Want to start
your own recipe website? Don't know how? The RecipeCircus
http://RecipeCircus.com
is the answer for people who love to
cook and want to share their recipes via the Internet. It's
also the perfect solution for HTML phobics. Best of all,
it's free.
The RecipeCircus was created by Mimi Hiller, who along with
her husband, Webmaster JB, hosts the top-rated Mimi's Cyber
Kitchen website http://www.cyber-kitchen.com.
Mrs. Hiller
said, "Recipes are alive and well on the Internet. Tens of
thousands of people have taken the plunge and made a
financial investment in creating their own recipe websites
to share their personal collections with friends, loved ones
and total strangers." Mrs. Hiller continued, "But website
creation in itself can be daunting for many people. Mention
HTML, and you strike fear into the hearts and minds of the
uninitiated. RecipeCircus is easy to use since it requires
no additional software. Any cook can create his or her own
unique recipe website, even using an Internet Appliance or
'set top' box."
At RecipeCircus, each user is invited to create a unique web
address and assigned a password, which users are urged to
update upon their first visit to RecipeCircus to a password
known only to themselves. "This is designed to protect
members of RecipeCircus," Mr. Hiller explained.
Visitors to the RecipeCircus can choose to register and
create their own websites or to browse pages created by
others. All recipes at RecipeCircus are accessible via a
site-wide search engine.
According to the Hillers, future additional features will
include automatic creation of shopping lists for each recipe
within websites at RecipeCircus.
RecipeCircus is an offshoot of the popular
Mimi's Cyber
Kitchen http://www.cyber-kitchen.com,
which now has more
than 20,000 member-submitted recipes and tips in its
archives. All recipes in Mimi's archives are searchable.
Those who have specific recipe requests are invited to post
a message on Mimi's Recipe Exchange board at
http://www.cyber-kitchen.com/ubbs/.
Mimi's "The Kitchen Table" (also available at
http://www.cyber-kitchen.com/ubbs/)
is an interactive
message board where registered users exchange tips, ideas
and inspiration.
"We invite everyone to check out our sites," Mrs. Hiller
concluded. "The family at Mimi's Cyber Kitchen ranges from
professionals to people who are just learning their way
around a kitchen. Now it includes a growing number of
personal websites at http://RecipeCircus.com."
