    Recipe Introduction


    This is a tasty lowfat vegan chili.
    It has complete protein.


    List of Ingredients


    • 8 oz can kidney beans
    • 1 white onion
    • 1 green bell pepper
    • 1 red bell pepper
    • 16 oz can tomatos, chopped
    • 1 cup brown rice, dry ( or another wholegrain)
    • 2 TBSP chili powder
    • 1 tsp black pepper
    • 1 tsp iodized sea salt (optional)


    Instructions


    1. Fry onions in a large pot until browned.
    2. Drain the kidney beans.
    3. Add all ingredients to the pot.
    4. Bring to a boil, lower heat, simmer until rice is tender.


    Final Comments


    A grain, a legume(bean), and a vegetable combined form complete protein.
