    2 cups All-purpose flour
    1/4 cup Granulated sugar
    2 teaspoons Baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon Salt
    1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
    1/3 cup Butter or margarine
    2/3 cup Buttermilk -- to 3/4 cup
    1/2 cup Walnuts -- chopped

    Recipe



    Preheat oven to 375°F; grease cookie sheets. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda; blend well. Using a fork or pastry blender, cut in the margarine until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the buttermilk and walnuts; stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened. Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls 2" apart onto the cookie sheets. Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until light golden brown. Immediately remove from the cookie sheets. Serve warm.
