Toasted Pecan Toffee Bars

Bar Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Topping Ingredients:
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped pecans, toastedRecipe
Preheat oven to 350°F.
CAKE:
In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in pecans and milk chocolate chips. Press mixture onto bottom of greased 13x9" baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
TOPPING:
Immediately sprinkle with 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips. Let stand 5 minutes. Slightly swirl melted chips. Immediately sprinkle with 1/4 cup pecans.
Cool completely. Cut into bars. Makes 36 bars.
