Swedish Butter Cookies

List of Ingredients




1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 tsp maple syrup
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
Confectioners' sugar

Recipe



In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar. Add the syrup. Mix well. Combine the flour and baking soda. Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Divide the dough into eight portions. Roll each portion into a 9" log. Place 3" apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Cut into 1-inch slices. Bake at 300°F for 25 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Dust with confectioners' sugar. Makes about 6 dozen.
