    3 cup brown sugar
    3 cup margarine or butter
    6 cup oatmeal
    1 tablespoon baking soda
    3 cup flour

    Recipe



    Place all of the ingredients in a bowl.

    Let the children use clean child-sized wooden hammers to mash and knead.

    Form into small balls and place on ungreased cookie sheet.

    Butter the bottom of the glass

    Dip the bottom of the glass into a saucer with sugar.

    Use the glass to flatten the balls.

    Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes.

    Makes 15 dozen.
