    Recipe Introduction

During WW II when sugar was scarce, people were in luck if pudding powders were available. Today, this is still a favorite.

    List of Ingredients

1 pkg Butterscotch or Caramel pudding mix - 6 serving size
3/4 C margarine or butter, softened
    1 T granulated sugar
    1 C all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 C quick-cooking rolled oats (not instant)
    1/4 t baking powder
    1/4 t baking soda
    1/8 t salt
    1 t vanilla
    1 large egg

    Recipe

Measure all 10 ingredients into a large bowl. Mix well. Roll into balls, 1 to 1 1/2" around. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Press with a fork. Bake in 375°F oven for 10 - 15 minutes. Makes about 3 dozen.
