    List of Ingredients

    1 cup margarine or butter
    1 cup brown sugar
    1 cup white sugar
    1 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/2 tsp salt
    1 cup shredded coconut
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 cup Rice Krispies
    1 cup rolled oats, toasted*

    Recipe

    Cream margarine or butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing well. Stir in coconut, chocolate chips, Rice Krispies and oats. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.

    *To toast oats:
    a) Cook in a dry nonstick skillet over medium-high heat on your stovetop, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown. Cool oats before adding to recipes.
    OR
    b) Just spread the oats in a shallow layer in a baking pan. Bake in a 350°F oven for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Cool. Store tightly covered.
