    4 Tbl butter
    2 1/2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/4 tsp pepper
    4 oz. shredded sharp cheddar cheese
    4 oz shredded parmesan cheese
    1 quart skim milk

    Recipe



    Melt butter in deep baking dish with cover. Stir uncooked noodles in melted butter until coated. Pour milk on the macaroni. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and sprinkle cheese evenly on all. Do not stir. Bake in preheated 375°F oven for one hour. Do not stir. I turned off the oven and left the casserole in the oven on retained heat for about 15 minutes. Let it cool for at least 1/2 hour, as it is very hot. It will look bubbly and liquidy while baking, but it solidifies when it is done. That's why I left it in the oven on retained heat for a few more minutes.
