    Lemon Poppy Seed Bread

    When my sister in law had foot surgery recently, I made this bread and took to her and the family. She called later to tell me how good it was and wanted the recipe. She said it didn't last long enough to store in the refrigerator! Judy (in Alaska)





    List of Ingredients




    1 pkg lemon cake mix (w/pudding)
    2 T poppy seeds
    1 C fresh orange juice
    1 t lemon juice
    1/2 C cooking oil
    4 eggs

    Recipe



    In large bowl, blend all ingredients on low speed of electric mixer until moistened. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour batter into well greased and floured 9x5" loaf pan. Bake at 350ºF for 60 minutes, or until tests done when toothpick is inserted near the middle. Cool 15 minutes and remove from pan. Cool completely and wrap tightly with plastic wrap and store in the refrigerator.
