    Really Great Roll-Out Sugar Cookies

    Source of Recipe

    No clue

    Recipe Introduction

This is the recipe that I use for the famous turkey cookies, that are decorated to look like turkeys. We're going to try them on Christmas trees soon too. Really great dough, if you like that sort of thing.

    List of Ingredients

    • 1.5 c butter, softened (3 sticks)
    • 2 c. white sugar
    • 4 eggs
    • 1 tsp vanilla
    • 5 c. all-purpose flour
    • 2 tsp. baking powder
    • 1 tsp. salt

    Instructions

    1. Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
    2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture.
    3. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.
    4. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
    5. Roll out dough on floured surface 1/4" - 1/2" thick.
    6. Cut shapes and place on parchment-lined (or Silpat!) sheet.
    7. Bake 6 - 8 minutes or until done. Larger cookies may take a minute or two longer.
    8. Gobble them up. Ha, get it?

    Final Comments

Milk, cookies. What else is there to say?
