    2 1/2 cups flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 cup shortening
    3/4 cup chopped nuts
    1/2 cup milk
    1 cup sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    14 chopped maraschino cherries
    2 eggs beaten
    1/4 cup maraschino cherry juice

    Recipe



    Stir dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening then add cherries and nuts. Combine liquid ingredients and add to dry ingredients. Stir only until flour is moistened. Pour into greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
