BACON STUFFED MUSHROOMS

List of Ingredients
- 2 pounds fresh mushrooms
- 8 slices bacon
- 1/2 yellow onion, minced
- Stems from mushrooms, chopped
- 12 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Clean mushrooms. Remove and chop stems. In medium skillet saute bacon until brown. Drain and crumble. Drain grease but DO NOT RINSE PAN.
- Add minced onion and chopped mushroom stems to pan. Cook until tender.
- Add cream cheese to mixture and cook until melted.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stuff mushrooms caps with cheese mixture and cover with grated cheddar cheese.
- Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet 15 minutes. Makes 10 or 12 appetizers.
