    BACON STUFFED MUSHROOMS

    List of Ingredients


    • 2 pounds fresh mushrooms
    • 8 slices bacon
    • 1/2 yellow onion, minced
    • Stems from mushrooms, chopped
    • 12 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
    • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese


    Instructions


    1. Clean mushrooms. Remove and chop stems. In medium skillet saute bacon until brown. Drain and crumble. Drain grease but DO NOT RINSE PAN.

    2. Add minced onion and chopped mushroom stems to pan. Cook until tender.

    3. Add cream cheese to mixture and cook until melted.

    4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stuff mushrooms caps with cheese mixture and cover with grated cheddar cheese.

    5. Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet 15 minutes. Makes 10 or 12 appetizers.
