    Sourdough Cheeseburgers

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 6 Tbls. mayo
    • 2 Tbls. ketchup
    • 2 Tbls. pickle relish
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 1 small onion thinly sliced
    • margarine
    • 8 slices sour dough bread
    • 8 slices Swiss cheese


    Instructions


    1. In a bowl mix mayo, ketchup, and relish.Cover and refrigerate.

    2. Shape beef into 4 patties season with salt and pepper.

    3. Fry burgers over med heat til cooked through.

    4. Remove and keep warm

    5. In the same pan melt 1 tbls. margarine and saute onions till tender.

    6. Remove and keep warm

    7. Butter both sides of bread and and brown one side of bread in skillet

    8. Turn bread over and top with swiss cheese on four of the slices.

    9. Cook about two minutes til cheese is melted and bread is browned.

    10. To serve place toast, cheese side up on platter.

    11. Top with a burger, relish mixture, onion and remaining toasted bread.

    12. Serve right away.



    Final Comments


    No buns............ uses sourdough bread....
