    My parents always canned beef and I remember how good it was and easy to just pop open and make a quick supper out of.


    List of Ingredients


    • Roast or steak
    • water
    • salt


    Instructions


    1. Cut meat into chunks.
    2. Remove fat.
    3. Simmer in hot water just to cover and only til hot.
    4. Pack meat into hot jars. Leave 1" head space.
    5. Pour hot cooking liquid over top of meat. Be sure to leave the 1" space at top. Remove air bubbles with non metal spatula.
    6. Place 1/2 tsp salt on top for pint jars, 1 tsp salt for quart jars.
    7. Wipe jar rim clean.
    8. Place prepared lid and bands on jars.
    9. Tighten just to finger tip tight. We like to tighten firm then back it off just a little.
    10. Process @ 10 lbs of pressure:Pints 1 hur and 15 minutes Quarts: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
