    Source of Recipe

    TOH BB 2008

    Recipe Introduction

    from Depo

    List of Ingredients

    Batter:
    1/2 cup milk
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 tsp sugar
    1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper and cayenne pepper, and garlic salt

1 large onion cut into slices then the slices cut in 1/2.

    Coating:
    1/2 cup flour
    1/2 cup of cornmeal
    Salt to taste

    OIL to fry

    Recipe

    Batter:
    Mix all well.
Add onions to the batter and allow to sit for 30 minutes.

Combine the 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 cup of cornmeal and some salt to taste.
Dredge the rings into the dry mixture to coat.
    Deep fry

    NOTES:
I allowed the onion rings to dry off after they were dredged in the flour/cornmeal mixture~ and I sprinkled them with some Old Bay right out of the pan~

Super crunchy, non greasy and extremely light! No heavy batters, or soggy breading to deal with! They stayed crunchy from beginning to end and they held up well in a heated 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes.
