    German Apple Cake

    List of Ingredients


    • 3 eggs
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1 cup oil
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 2 cups flour
    • 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 2 cups peeled, chopped tart apples
    • 3/4 cups chopped pecans
    • FROSTING:
    • 1 (8oz) pkg. cream cheese (softened)
    • 2 tsp. soft margarine or butter
    • 2 cups powdered sugar


    Instructions


    1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla.

    2. Combine the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt.

    3. Add to the egg mixture and mix well.

    4. Fold in the apples and nuts.

    5. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan

    6. Bake @ 350 for 55-60 minutes.

    7. Cool.

    8. In a small mixing bowl combine the cream cheese and butter until smooth.

    9. Add the powdered sugar and blend unyil smooth.

    10. Spread over the cake.

    11. Keep Refrigerated.
