    Pralines and Cream Ice Cream

    List of Ingredients




    4 cups milk
    1 cup whipping cream
    1 cup half and half
    1 1/2 cups sugar
    5 eggs beaten
    2 Tbsp vanilla
    1 1/4 cups brown sugar
    3/4 cup light Karo Syrup
    1/4 cup butter
    3 Tbsp flour
    1 1/2 cups toasted, chopped pecans
    1 5oz can evaporated milk
    2 cups milk

    Recipe



    Bring first four ingredients to boil, stirring constantly over medium heat.
    Gradually stir hot mixture into eggs.
    Cook one minute.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Chill 2 hours.
    Combine brown sugar, syrup and butter.
    Bring to boil over medium heat.
    Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Let cool.
    Stir in pecans and evaporated milk.
    Combine chilled egg mixture, brown sugar mixture and 2 cups milk.
    Pour into 1 gallon ice cream freezer and freeze.
    After freezing, pack with additional ice and salt and let stand 1 hour before serving
