Liver and Onions

List of Ingredients
- 1 lb of beef liver sliced
- flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- oil
- at least 5 onions sliced ( the more the better)
- 3/4-1 cup of water
Instructions
- Wash liver and remove outside membrane if still there.
- Mix flour and salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in electric fry pan til very hot.
- Dredge liver in flour mixture and fry until browned on both sides.
- Cover with onions and water.
- Simmer until onions are soft and liver is cooked through. ( about 1/2 hour )
- Serve with a mountain of mashed poatoes.
Final Comments
I suppose to some liver is an aquired taste... but I just remember always liking it...
