    1 lb. bacon
    1 lg. onion, chopped
    1 lg. can tomato juice
    1 lg. can diced tomatoes
    1 tsp. basil
    2 TB sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. pepper
    1 box pasta (macaroni shells or rigatoni)
    12 oz. pkg. shredded cheddar cheese
    4 oz. pkg. mozzarella cheese

    Recipe



    Cut bacon in to small pieces and fry until crisp; drain. Add chopped onion and cook until tender.
    Meanwhile, in blender puree tomato juice, tomatoes and seasonings.
    Add to bacon and onions and cook sauce for about 1 hour. Cook pasta according to directions on box.
    In a roast pan, layer sauce, pasta and cheddar cheese. Repeat two more times ending with pasta.
    Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes.
    Remove cover and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over top. Return to oven and bake 10 to 15 minutes longer until cheese melts
