    Green Beans: Green Bean and Potato Casserole

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 1/2 cups cooked green beans
    • 1 cup peeled, chopped and cooked potatoes
    • 4 slices bacon
    • 1 small onion chopped
    • 1 Tbls. flour
    • 1 cup evaporated milk
    • 1 cup shredded cheddar or velveeta cheese
    • TOPPING:
    • 1/3 cup cracker crumbs
    • margarine


    Instructions


    1. Mix together the cooked beand and potatoes, and place in a 1 qt casserole

    2. Fry bacon till crisp and break apart; set aside

    3. Cook onion in some of the drippings.

    4. Add flour and stir til smooth

    5. Slowly add milk.

    6. Cook stirring til thick; add cheese and continue to stir til melted.

    7. Pour over vegtables and stir well.

    8. Sprinkle with cracker crumbs and bacon and dot w/ margarine.

    9. Bake @ 350 for 30 minutes
