PIES: Pumpkin Dutch Apple Pie

List of Ingredients
Apple Layer:
2 med. Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/4 c. sugar
2 t. all-purpose flour
1 t. lemon juice
1/4 t. cinnamon
1 9" deep-dish pie shell, unbaked
Pumpkin Layer:
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/2 c. solid-pack pumpkin
1 c. undiluted evaporated milk
1/2 c. sugar
2 T. butter, melted
3/4 t. cinnamon
1/8 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. salt
Crumb Topping:
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
5 T. sugar
3 T. butter, softened
1/3 c. chopped walnuts
Recipe
For apple layer,
Yoss apples with sugar, flour, lemon juice and cinnamon. Place in pie shell.
For pumpkin layer:
Combine eggs, pumpkin, evaporated milk, sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
Pour over apple layer.
Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 30 minutes.
While pie is baking, make crumb topping.
After 30 minutes, remove pie from oven and sprinkle with crumb topping.
Return to oven and bake for additional 20 minutes or until custard is set.
