    Pies: Pineapple Pie

    Penny Bucon, 2nd Place, Pennsylvania Fair

    List of Ingredients

    Filling:
    -1/4 lb. butter
    -3/4 cup sugar
    -4 egg yolks
    -1 large can crushed pineapple (drained, save juice)
    -2 egg whites




    Recipe

    -Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    -Cream butter and sugar together.
    -Add egg yolks and mix well.
    -Add drained pineapple and 3 T. of the juice.
    -Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the mixture.
    -Pour into unbaked pie shell; apply top crust; and bake for 30 minutes or until filling is set.
