    Crockpot Pigs in the Blanket

    List of Ingredients




    1 lg. head cabbage (about 3 lbs.)
    1 med. diced onion
    1 c. cooked, cooled white rice
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 lb. ground pork (or you can use all beef)
    2 eggs
    pinch garlic powder
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 cans tomato soup mixed with 2 soup cans water
    1 large crockpot
    toothpicks

    Recipe



    Cut deeply around core of cabbage.
    Boil for 5 minutes. cool and remove leaves.
    Cut off thick stems.
    Mix well- raw meat, rice, onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder and eggs.
    Place heaping Tbs. of meat mixture in cabbage leaf.
    Tuck in sides and roll. (Like an egg roll)
    Secure with toothpick
    Place unused cabbage in crockpot to line.
    Place piggies on top.
    Cover with tomato soup mix here.
    Place a celery stalk including leaves on top and a bay leaf.
    Cover and cook on low 8 hours.
    You may line crockpot with sauerkraut if desired instead of cabbage
