    BARS&BROWNIES: Frosted Drop Brownies

    List of Ingredients




    DROP BROWNIES:
    1/2 cup butter or margarine
    3/4 cup sugar
    1 egg
    2 squares unsweetened chocolate - melted
    1 3/4 cups sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 cup milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
    36 walnut or pecan halves

    SHINY WHITE ICING:
    2 cups sifted powdered sugar
    Cream or Milk
    1/2 tsp vanilla
    few drops of red food color - optional

    DROP BROWNIES:
    Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg and beat well.
    Stir in melted chocolate.
    Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Add the chopped nuts.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls 2" aparrt onto ungreased baking sheet, bake in hot oven (400 degrees) 8-10 minutes.
    Remove cookies and cool on racks.


    SHINY WHITE ICING:
    Add enough cream or milk to the powdered sugar to make the icing of spreadable consistancy. Add vanilla & few drops of food color. (Flavor with peppermint extract if you like)

    Drop 1 teaspoon frosting onto each cookie and swirl with a fork.
    Top with a walnut or pecan half.
