    COOKIES: Cherry Flips

    List of Ingredients




    1 cup butter
    1/2 cup Icing Sugar
    2 egg yolks
    2 cups flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 tsp. Almond Extract
    30 Maraschino Cherries
    Coconut

    ICING:
    1 1/2 cups icing sugar
    1/2 cup maraschino cherry juice

    COOKIES:
    Cream butter, add icing sugar and blend well.
    Add the yolks, mixing in thoroughly.
    Sift flour and salt; and blend into the butter/sugar mixture along with the almond extract.
    Roll into balls; inserting a cherry in the center of each ball.
    Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes.
    Cool

    ICING: Mix sugar and cherry juice til well blended.

    When cookies are cool, roll in icing and then in coconut.
