    List of Ingredients

6 round beef steaks, sliced thin - about 1/4 inch
    salt and pepper
    6 stips of lean bacon
    1 carrot
    1 dill pickle
    brown mustard (Dijon style)
    cooking string or toothpicks
    flour
    cooking oil
    1 thinly sliced small onion
    Water
1 cup of heavy cream (optional)

    Recipe

Place beef round between 2 pieces of plastic wrap and pound lightly to tenderize. Remove and LIGHTLY salt, pepper and flour. Shake off any execess, remember the key word is LIGHTLY. Spread about 1/2 to 3/4 teaspoon of brown mustard on one side of each beef round. Julienne bacon, carrot, dill pickle and onion. On one end for each beef round place 1-6 of the bacon, carrot, dill pickle and onion. Roll up the beef round like a jelly roll and secure the roll with either cooking string or toothpick. Brown the rolled beef on all sides in a pan with high sides, adding fat/oil as necessary. Add enough water to cover the beef rolls and scrape the bottom of the pan to get up the brown pieces. Cover pan and simmer for 1 hour. Thicken sauce with flour (mixed with a little water). Boil for 2 minutes. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed. Add heavy cream (optional). Stir and serve.
