    PIE CRUST
    1 1/2 c. of Hazelnuts & 6 T. sugar
    3/4 c. of flour
    3 T. Cocoa powder
    6 T. butter,softened and cut up

    PIE FILLING
    4-8 oz packages cream cheese
    2 T. Frangelico ( or other hazelnut liqueur)
    1 t. vanilla extract
    4 large eggs (room temp)
    1/2 c. heavy whipping cream

    CHOCOLATE GLAZE:
    1/2 C. heavy Cream
    4 oz. semi,(or bittersweet) Chocolate
    1/2 t. vanilla

    Pie Crust:
    Heat oven to 350.

    Arange hazelnuts on sm. okie sheet and bake 10/15 min. until lightly browned, and skins are cracked. remove skins with by rubbing with a terry cloth towel. Let cool... In food processor ,finely grind 1/2 c. nuts with 6 T. sugar. Add flour, blend. Add butter and pulse until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press into bottom of 10" spring form pan. Bake 18/20 min. until crust is lightly browned and crust is dry.

    Let cool, completely on wire rack.cover outside of pan with aluminum foil tightly.


    Pie Filling:
    In lg. bowl beat cr.cheese till fluffy, about 2 mins. Gradually beat in remaining sugar. Continue beating ,till smooth. Beat in liqueur and vanilla, just blended after each one. At low speed blendin heavy cream just untill blended. Fold in remaining crushed hazelnuts with rubber spatula.

    Pour filling into pie crust and set pan in pan large enough to produce a 1" water bath

    Bake 75-80 min. or until barely jigiling in center ntil cake tester comes out clean.

    Remove cheesecake from water bath Cool again, comp;letely and remove foil from pan. cover and chill about 6 hrs. or over night.

    Cover with Chocolate Glaze. let glaze sit 20 min. till settled.


    Chocolate Glaze:
    In sauce pan heat cream (med. hi) until small bubbles apear around side of pan. 2-3 min. Remove from heaat. Wisk in Chocolate and vanilla until smooth. Let cool to room temp. and glaze Cake.
