    List of Ingredients


    • 1 quart crisp cucumber pickle slices
    • 1/2 cup flour
    • 3 cups salad oil
    • Batter
    • 1 1/4 cup flour
    • 1 cup ketchup
    • 1 cup beer
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 2 beaten egg yolks
    • 2 stiffly beaten egg whites


    Instructions


    1. Prepare batter by combining flour, ketchup, beer, salt and egg yolks.
    2. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    3. Drain crisp cucumber pickle slices.
    4. Dredge slices in about 1/2 cup flour, and then dip 1 slice at a time in batter.
    5. Fry quickly in 3 cups salad oil heated to 350 degrees.
    6. Drain slices on paper towels.
    7. Serve either hot or cold.
    8. Sprinkle with salt.
