    The Day Before: Prepare your favorite 1 LB French Bread Recipe

    List of Ingredients




    The Following Day:

    1/2 C soft margarine
    3-Tbs. instant onion flakes
    1 Tbs. prepared mustard
    1-tsp. poppy seed
    8 slices Swiss cheese
    2-4 slices bacon, cut into pieces

    Recipe



    Combine first three ingredients. Trim crust off top and sides of the French
    bread you baked yesterday (save these for your favorite meat loaf or bread
    pudding recipe.) Half the bread horizontally; place slices of cheese on
    bottom half. Place top half of bread on cheese. Spread mustard mixture on
    tops and sides of loaf. Sprinkle with poppy seed. Cut into 1-inch slices.
    Place bacon on top and wrap in foil. Bake at 400 degrees F. for 15-18 minutes.
    Remove bacon. Serve bread hot.
