    List of Ingredients


    • 2 C. superfine sugar
    • 2 C. unbleached flour
    • 1 1/2 C. small marshmallows
    • 1/2 C. unsalted butter
    • 1/2 C. vegetable oil
    • 3 T. cocoa
    • 1 C. cola, (Coke or RC deliver the best flavor)
    • 1/2 C. buttermilk
    • 1 tsp. baking soda
    • 2 jumbo eggs
    • 1 tsp. pure vanilla


    Instructions


    1. In a bowl sift sugar and flour. Add marshmallows. In saucepan mix butter, oil, cocoa and cola. Bring to the boil and pour over flour/sugar mixture, blend well. Add buttermilk, baking soda, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Pour into well greased 9x13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees F. for 45 minutes. Remove from the oven and frost immediately.

    2. Frosting- 1/2 C. butter, 3 T. cocoa, 6 T. cola, 16 oz. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 C. chopped pecans. Combine butter, cocoa and cola in a saucepan. Bring to the boil and pour over powdered sugar. Blend well. Add vanilla and pecans. Spread over hot cake. When cool cut into squares and serve.
