    List of Ingredients


    • 2 3/4 C. unbleached flour
    • 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
    • 1 C. buttermilk
    • 2 tsp. pure vanilla
    • 2 bananas, smashed
    • 1/2 C. plus 2 T. butter, softened
    • 1/4 C. vegetable oil
    • 3/4 C. dark brown sugar, packed
    • 1/2 C. superfine sugar
    • 4 jumbo eggs


    Instructions


    1. Smash bananas with vanilla and buttermilk and set aside.

    2. Mix together flour, baking soda and sea salt and set aside.
    3. Cream butter, oil and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time. Slowly add dry mixture and banana mixture alternating and ending with banana mixture.
    4. Pour into a greased 9x13x2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for about 40 minutes or until a pick comes out clean. While cooling on a wire rack frost with Brown Sugar Frosting. Do this while cake is still warm. If you don't use the Brown Sugar Frosting let cake cool completely and dust with powdered sugar.
