    This makes delicious glazed fruit for fruit cakes and fruit cake cookies.


    List of Ingredients


    • 16 oz. jar of Marichinno cherries
    • 3/4 C. sugar.
    • or
    • 1 can pineapple tidbits
    • 1/2 C. sugar


    Instructions


    1. Candied Cherries
    2. Place cherries with juice into a heavy bottomed pot. Add sugar and bring to a boil, swirling to dissolve sugar. Turn down heat to low and simmer till done.
    3. Candied Pineapples
    4. Place pineapple with juice into a heavy bottomed pot. Add sugar and bring to a boil, swirling to dissolve the sugar. Turn down heat to low and simmer till done. Pineapple burns easily.
