    Mom used to make rum balls during Yule when I was a child. They always tasted magical to me. Yule wasn't complete until she made them.









    List of Ingredients


    • 3 C. vanilla wafers, finely crushed
    • 2 C. powdered sugar
    • 1 C. pecans, finely chopped
    • 1/4 C. light corn syrup
    • 1/4 C. cocoa
    • 1/2 C. light rum
    • powdered sugar


    Instructions


    1. Mix wafers, 2 cups powdered sugar, pecans and cocoa. Stir in rum and corn syrup. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar. Refrigerate in tightly covered container several days before serving.
    2. Brandy Balls- Substitute brandy for the rum.

    3. Bourbon Balls- Substitute bourbon for the rum.
