    List of Ingredients


    • 2 1/2C. unbleached all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp. Baking powder
    • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
    • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
    • 1/4 tsp. Sea salt
    • 3/4 C. Unsalted butter, melted
    • 1 C. Sugar
    • 1/2 C. Brown sugar, packed
    • 2 lrg eggs
    • 2 tsp. Vanilla
    • 1 tsp. Rum extract
    • 1/2 C. Eggnog
    • EGGNOG GLAZE
    • 2 C. Powdered sugar, plus more
    • 6 T. Eggnog, possibly more
    • 1/2 tsp. Rum extract
    • 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
    • 2 T. Butter, softened
    • Pinch of salt


    Instructions


    1. Mix together and set aside, flour,baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

    2. Mix together melted butter and sugars until wells blended.

    3. In a separate bowl mix together eggs, vanilla, rum extract and eggnog.

    4. Add half of the dry mixture to the butter mixture followed by the eggnog mixture then the remaining dry. Dont over mix. Chill fo a bit. Drop by spoonfuls onto parchment lined baking sheets and bake at 350 until cookies are golden brown. Cool on cookie sheets for 3 minutes then remove to a wire rack to finish cooling. Frost with the eggnog glaze and sprinkle a wee bit of nutmeg on top.

    5. Eggnog glaze- using a whisk combine all the glaze ingredients until smooth. If you need it with a bit more body add more powdered sugar. If you need a more fluid and more eggnog. The glaze will dry after a while.
