    Recipe Introduction


    These are one of Nana's favorite kinds of cookies. If you wanted any you'd have to grab them while you could because if you waited too long she'd eat them all.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 C. butter, softened
    • 1 1/2 C. unbleached all purpose flour
    • 1 C. superfine sugar
    • 1 jumbo egg
    • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla
    • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
    • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    • 2 T. superfine sugar
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon


    Instructions


    1. In a large mixing bowl beat butter on medium to high for about 30 seconds. Add half of the flour, 1 cup of sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda and cream of tartar. Beat till thoroughly combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat or stir in the remaining flour. Cover and chill for 1 hour.

      In a shallow dish combine 2 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar and place 2 inches apart on an un-greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees F. for about 10 minutes or till done. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Remove cookies from cookie sheet, cool on a wire rack.
