    Pumpkin Filling for Turnovers

    List of Ingredients


    • 1 very large sugar pumpkin
    • 1 1/2 C. brown sugar
    • 2/3 C. white sugar
    • 1 tsp. cinnamon
    • 1/2 tsp. cloves
    • 1 egg
    • 3/4 large can of milk


    Instructions


    1. Peel, seed and cube pumpkin. Boil until almost fork tender. Drain and mash then return to the pot and cook on very low heat until pumpkin has dried out a wee bit. Cool to room temperature.
    2. Once pumpkin is cooled add all remaining ingredients and gently boil until desired consistency for turnover filling. Remove from heat to cool completely.
