    This is our Blue Moon Cake.


    List of Ingredients


    • 1/2 C. butter, unsalted
    • 1 1/4 C. sugar
    • 1 2/3 C. all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking powder
    • 1/8 tsp. sea salt
    • 2 lrg. eggs, room temperature
    • 1 tsp. vanilla
    • 1/8 tsp. cardamom
    • 1 orange, zested
    • 2/3 C. Blue Moon Beer, room temperature
    • 2 T. milk, whole
    • Cardamom Frosting
    • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
    • 1/2 C. butter, softened
    • 1/4 tsp. vanilla
    • 1/8 tsp. cardomom
    • 2 1/2 C. powdered sugar
    • 2 T. oragne juice


    Instructions


    1. Prepare cake pan and line. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    2. Mix together dry ingredients and set aside. Using mixer fluff up the butter for approximately 4 minutes, until lemony in color, add sugar and beat another 4 minutes. Add one egg at a time mixing well after each addition. Vanilla, cardamom and orange zest are added next and stirred just until mixed through.
    3. Mix together Blue Moon beer and milk and set aside. Add flour mixture and beer mixture to the batter alternatively. Beat until fully mixed.
    4. Bake in prepared pan until golden colored and pick tests done. After completely cooled frost with Cardamom Frosting.
