    Recipe Introduction

This is a recipe that has been passed down in my family from my great grandma.

    List of Ingredients

    3 Eggs
    3 tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    Stick of butter (not margarine)
    1 cup to 1 1/4 cups milk
    1 1/2 pkg. yeast
    about 6 cups of flour

    Recipe

    - Heat milk and 1/2 stick of butter until the butter is melted.
    - Beat eggs, sugar, and salt together. It is best to use a glass bowl that can be kept warm in an oven.
    - Mix in the milk and butter.
    - Add yeast.
    - Add flour gradually until you have a nice dough consistency. Sometimes it helps to get the husbands to help with the mixing (for those of us without stand mixers).
    - Cover bowl (my mom and I use very thin dishtowels)
    - Let rise 1 1/2 hours until it doubles in size (I like to place the bowl in an oven set to warm with the door open slightly)
    - Melt the other half stick of butter in a 9x13 pan.
    - Beat the dough down, knead on floured surface.
    - Roll the dough out and cut into square dinner rolls. 24 is a good number for a 9x13 pan.
    - Dip each roll in the melted butter, and place it in that same pan.
    - Let rise another hour, again covered
    - Turn the oven on to 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes.
