    This recipe may be doubled (it is great for over night guests) just make sure the pan is shallow or else it takes forever to cook.

    List of Ingredients





    1/2 lb bacon
    4 tbsp butter, melted
    2 cups firm bread, cubed (french stick)
    1 cup cheddar, cubed
    4 eggs
    1 cup milk
    4 tsp dry mustard
    salt & pepper
    1 tomato, sliced
    2 tbsp pesto (optional)

    Preheat oven to 425 F
    Cook bacon to 3/4 done. Drain and when cooled break into pieces.
    Mix melted butter with the bread. Add cheese and mix well. Put in a 1 quart baking dish.
    Mix mustard with a little water to form a paste, beat in eggs one at a time. Add milk and salt & pepper. Pour over bread and sprinkle with the bacon. Bake for 25-30 minutes(or until firm)
    Half way thru baking, add the tomato slices and pesto(sprinkle it on).
