SIMPLE BEEF GOULASH

Recipe Introduction
Per Serving: 280 Calories, 23g Protein, 8.8g Fat, 28g Carbs..
Notes: I like to put my goulash on mashed potatoes.
List of Ingredients
2lbs or 1kg Beef brisket, cross rib or short rib
pot roast, cut in 1 inch (2.5cm)cubes
OR stewing cubes.
1 pouch Onion Soup Mix (approx 38gr)
2tbsp or 30ml Paprika
1/4tsp or 1ml caraway seeds
1(10oz) can of whole mushrooms (do not drain)
1/4cup / 50ml quick-cooking tapioca
(tapioca may be substituted with
1/4 cup cornstarch or flour with
1/4 cup water to make a paste.
Cook paste in pre-heated pan until
it boils and thickens.
8cups / 2L Chopped vegetables, cut into small
chunks.
Recipe
Place ingredients plus 1 1/2 cups water in a 4
quart slow cooker. Stir, cover and cook on high
for 5-6 hours (or on Low for 10-12 hours). Serve goulash with dumplings or hit cooked noodles or rice. Makes 8 servings.
